Meet Michael

As a business owner, Michael grew his business from a single Sport Clips franchise to 18 successful locations.

He never thought he would go into politics nor did he have the desire. He saw his business success as an example of anyone being able to live the American dream. After the passage of the Obamacare, Michael knew it would have devastating consequences for his growing business. With the uncertainty that Obamacare would bring, he sold all Sport Clips franchises in 2013. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but Michael understood if his children wanted to succeed in business and chase the American Dream, he couldn’t sit on the sidelines. This new government expansion was plowing through businesses hovering above the 50-employee mark. He knew he had to get involved and bring his experience in accounting and business into the world of politics.

In 2014, Michael entered the race for his local State Senate seat. It would not be easy. He was taking on a powerful, entrenched incumbent. He received threats and suspicious notes of caution but he was not deterred. The establishment came after him hard. Out funded and under-estimated, Michael and his family worked hard, reaching the voters in his district. It paid off. He beat the incumbent in the primary by a 2 to 1 margin and went on to win the General Election.

Michael is a fighter for conservative principles. He knows what it’s like to face an uphill battle and to win. This led him to be the first elected official in Georgia to endorse Donald J. Trump, a businessman for President. He knew we would need a fighter to take on the media and the Clinton machine in the General Election. He played an active role, serving as the Georgia Co-Chair for the Trump campaign.

“I have had enough of career politicians
pushing us further down the road to less
freedom and more government!”
